Wild Branch Live · Thursday, September 17

September is built.

Here is what August actually told us, everything that changed because of it, and the two things that are yours on the day.

What August told us

Pulled from your Kit account, not from anybody's memory.

677
on the list
78
registered
26
in the room
22
booked a call

85% of the people who actually turned up booked a call with you.

That is the whole story. The offer is not broken. The hour is not broken. What you do in that room is not broken.

One number was low: 33% of registrants showed up. So everything we changed this month points at one thing, and only one thing. Getting a person into the room.

Your best email of the month was "I did all the things and still nothing happened." It is also the only email in the whole sequence that quotes a real person out loud. That is not a coincidence, and it is the rule we are building on from here.

Three things were quietly broken

None of them are copy problems. All three are now structurally impossible.

1. Registrants never got a confirmation email
78 people signed up and heard nothing back. The confirmation that had been written for them had no Zoom link in it at all, and it never went out. So for two weeks, the only thing standing between a registration and the event was whether somebody happened to remember. Now: a confirmation goes out within seconds, with the room link, the time in four zones, and a one click button to drop it straight into their calendar.
2. The day before push never went out
It was written. It sat unsent. That was the only urgency the campaign had. Now: every reminder is scheduled to a date and locked. Nothing has to be remembered, and nothing can sit waiting for somebody to press a button.
3. The replay email had no replay link
You caught this one yourself and sent the fix within hours. It is worth naming anyway, because 79 people opened that email, the highest open rate of your entire month, and there was nothing in it to click. Now: every email is checked for a working link before it can be scheduled.

What happens now when someone registers

All of it is already built and scheduled. You do not have to touch any of it.

WhenWhat they get
ImmediatelyTheir seat page, with the date, the room link, and one click to add it to their calendar. It also invites them to a short call with you, which is the new piece below.
Within a minuteConfirmation email. Same details again, in their inbox, so it exists in two places.
Sep 10One tap. Three buttons, no typing: I have spoken and not been paid · I did all the things and nothing happened · I said yes years ago and it is still not done. Whatever they tap, you will know before you walk in.
Sep 16, 2pmTomorrow at 11. Room link.
Sep 17, 8amToday at 11. Room link.
Sep 17, 10:45Starting soon. Your own template, unchanged. It was one of the two best emails you sent all month.
Sep 17, 11:00Starting now. Same. These two out-performed everything else by a distance, so we did not touch them.

Every one of those is sitting in your Kit right now with a send time attached. None of them can be forgotten.

See the page they land on

The new piece: research calls

This is the part that is yours.

On the page they land on after registering, we offer a small number of twenty minute research calls before the 17th. They tell you where they actually are. You build the hour around what is really in the room instead of guessing at it.

It asks nothing new of them, which is why we think it will convert. They already said yes to the hour. This just makes the hour theirs.

And one of those people gets coached live on the 17th, in front of everyone.

Their book, their rooms, their numbers, worked all the way through while the room watches. For an author whose whole problem is that nobody sees her, being the one worked on is the prize.

The page tells them plainly that you are the one asking the questions on those calls. So they arrive relaxed, and they tell you the truth. That is what makes it research.

Your part

Two things, and they are both the fun ones

Everything else is already running.

  1. Take the research calls. Twenty minutes. Ask them about their book, the rooms they are already standing in, and the thing that is not moving. Nothing to prepare.
  2. Pick one person to coach live on the 17th. Whoever you think the room will learn the most from watching.

That is the list. No links to check, no emails to send, no buttons to press on the day.

What we are watching

So that next month gets built on evidence instead of opinion.

Show rate33% in August. The number this whole month is aimed at.
Registrations78 in August, from a list of 677.
Calls booked22 from 26 attendees. This one should stay above 80%. If it drops while registrations rise, we brought the wrong people.
Taps23 in August. It tells us what the room needs before you walk in.

Every change we made is written down with the number that caused it, what we think will happen, and how we will know if we were wrong. In October we grade it, and we build the next one from what actually moved.
